IIG Quincy to Spokane Fiber Backbone

Cannon built 195 miles of new fiber optic backbone across Eastern Washington for Intermountain Infrastructure Group, running from Quincy to Spokane to carry the region’s growing demand for high speed internet. Cannon directional drilled sedimented rock the length of the corridor, bored and plowed 1,032,035 feet, set 825 vaults with rock hammers, jetted 1,269,131 feet of 432 count fiber into place, flew a span across the Columbia River by drone, and set two poles by helicopter in steep rocky terrain. Delivered on time and on budget, with every as-built in CAD.
