Naval Station Everett Distribution Feeder Repair
Design-build repair of the electrical distribution feeder system at Naval Station Everett for NAVFAC Northwest, through Shape Construction. The work designs, builds, maintains, cuts over and finally dismantles a temporary overhead electrical system, including risers, underground conductors, energization and outage support, so that existing transformers and switches stay energized while the permanent system is repaired. Cannon assisted in design development alongside the project’s engineers and carries the overhead scope end to end: pole, conductor and hardware procurement, pole placement, conductor placement, pole risers, the cutover onto the temporary system, and demolition of that system once the permanent work is complete.
Services Employed:
- Pole, conductor and pole hardware procurement
- Pole placement across the temporary overhead distribution system
- Conductor placement and stringing
- Pole riser construction to existing transformers and switches
- Cutover of existing transformers and switches onto the temporary system
- Demolition and disposal of the temporary overhead system at completion
- Engineering support to design development
- Energization and outage support coordinated with the naval station
