Course Length: 4-6 hours
This class is a combined adult CPR, First Aid and AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) program designed for the occupational first aid provider.
This extremely flexible program which satisfies the training requirements specified by the Department of Labor, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) as found in 29 CFR§1910.151 Subpart K of the Occupational Safety and Health act of 1970 and 29 CFR§1910.266 App B, and other federal and state regulatory requirements can help train employees how to respond and care for medical emergencies at work.
The program follows all treatment guidelines in the new 2008 American Heart Association Science Advisory “Hands-Only, Compression-Only” Resuscitation; the 2010 guidelines from American Heart Association for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care; the 2010 International Consensus on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care Science with Treatment Recommendation, International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR), ASTM Standard F2171-02, ASTM International, and the National Standard Curriculum for Bystander Care, National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, U.S. Department of Transportation.
